Robert Charles Minnick studied applied science, including applied mathematics and engineering at Harvard, earning an A.M. in 1951 and a Ph.D. in 1953. His field was the design and analysis of large-scale calculating machinery. He was an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Harvard from 1954-1957. From the description of Papers of Robert C.
